Blood Orange Make Late-Night Debut, Perform "It Is What It Is" & "Time Will Tell" On Jimmy Kimmel

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

I think it's pretty fair to say that Blood Orange's late-night debut has been a long time coming. Well, the lo-fi pop gawds have answered some prayers, in that their debut landed last night on Jimmy Kimmel and it was the spectacle we had all hoped it would be, fortified with tight choreography and Hynes' patented theatrics. Girlfriend and helping vocal hand Samantha Urbani assisted on the mic while Hynes and the crew dazzled a crowd that might not have even known who he was. Rest assured, they left that LA studio with a damn good idea.

Hynes & Co spun live renditions of "It Is What It Is" and "Time Will Tell," giving newcomers a taste of his formidable 2013 release Cupid Deluxe and making sure they had a visual to call  upon for reference. Out here in the mighty east, we need not any visual or audible enforcement to cement him as one NYC's finest, but that doesn't mean the Blessed Coast can't get with it. Watch Dev Hynes and Blood Orange conduct a masterful and stunning performance of stand-out cuts from Cupid Deluxe on Jimmy Kimmel Live  down below and cop the album via iTunes if you've somehow managed to miss it.
