Stream A 25th Anniversary 'De La Soul Is Dead' Mixtape

Last week, De La Soul's sophomore stunner, De La Soul Is Dead hit the unfathomable quarter-century mark. And while the celebrations (and memorials) have been copious over the past few days, one salute stands out ahead of the pack, bringing the source material for their wild and wonderful second time out to the forefront. Commissioned by Wax Poetic and assisted by the crate-digging companion script of WhoSampled, DJ/producer/selector supreme, Chris Read, has compiled one helluva 25th anniversary mixtape for your listening pleasure, consisting of the album's expansive sample and remix stockpile.

Listen to the 25th anniversary mixtape down below and learn like the rest of us that despite its name, their second studio album and all of its experimental excellence is still alive and well and very much plaguing creatives with its genius in the 21st century.
