De La Soul Treats Fans To Surprise 'For Your Pain & Suffering' EP
It looks like Drake isn't the only one dropping bombs on this fine day, as De La Soul, legends of the Native Tongue movement, have delivered a nice little placeholder for those of us patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for their much-anticipated crowd-funded album, And The Anonymous Nobody. Today, Pos, Dave and Maseo give us a little reprieve just when we needed it most with the release of the four-track EP, For Your Pain & Suffering, cluing us into the magic they've cooking up over the last year for an album project that's slated to feature Little Dragon, David Byrne, Damon Albarn and 2 Chainz.
Their Kickstarter campaign accrued a remarkable $600,000 from 11,ooo-plus backers, and as the cover art for this little teaser indicates, that album will be released on August 26th, just in time to cap off the summer.
