Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

As it was previously reported, Common and Kanye West's respective foundations have teamed up to launch a Chicago-based youth-focused jobs initiative. Com took to CNN recently to discuss his passion for empowering youth across his hometown and abroad, as well as his appearance on Chicagoland; the network's exposé on the embattled city's systemic ills, where we saw Chicago's Mayor Rahm Emanuel explicitly solicit the local legend for his assistance in promoting the city's youth programs. During the short interview, he chalks up his compassion and empathy for those kids to his mother's care for him, furthering those sentiments in a partnership with Yeezy and Rhymefest's Donda's House to organize and launch the AAHH! Festival; a two day showcase of The Chi's burgeoning art scene. Watch Common discuss the initiative on CNN below.
