Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino talked to the folks at Billboard in an interesting interview that touched on multiple topics. Gambino spoke about his hit FX television show Atlanta, what inspired the music for his upcoming album Awaken My Love!, and fatherhood (he's a new dad), though he didn't go into specifics. Glover also talked about his role as a young Lando Calrissian in the upcoming untitled Han Solo standalone Star Wars film. Speaking on Star Wars Glover remarked, "Growing up, I was pretty into it. I got taken out of school to see Episode I. It was the first toy I had. The Dagobah system has definitely played a part in my dreams." Gambino's new album, Awaken My Love!, will arrive on December 2nd via Glassnote. It will be Glover’s third album. You can pre-order Awaken, My Love! via iTunes. Today the single "Redbone" was released. Previous to that Gambino dropped the stunning Funkadelic and psychedelic single "“Me and Your Mama.” 2016 has definitely been a big year for Glover.
