As the world braces itself for the imminent arrival of Chance The Rapper‘s proper follow-up to his breakout Acid Rap mixtape (Surf was technically credited to Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment, even with Chano as the centerpiece) there have been rumblings of new music afoot, with his prominent feature on Kanye’s “Ultralight Beam” acting as a spirited warm-up.
Today, the “mixtape 3” train gets rolling (quite literally) with the arrival of a lighthearted and cartoonish clip for Chano’s “Angels,” which features a verse from his fellow Chicago upstart Saba and all of the footwork in the world. Taking to the skies and highly trafficked intersections of The Windy City, Chance soars through the horizon as a real-life hometown superhero, bringing blessing and light as he lands and hits some air-tight footwork with his partner-in-rhyme. There’s still no firm date on the release of his next project, but anyone that’s been keeping up with your boy knows big things are coming and it’ll be well worth the wait. Watch as Chance The Rapper and Saba rep their set in the new video for “Angels” down below and hold tight for the next episode.
