Chance The Rapper and fellow young Chicago MC Noname Gypsy have shared a beautiful, spacious new single "Israel (Sparring)," continuing the collaborative streak that won them wide acclaim on Surf.
The two rappers dig into heavy concepts over a feathery beat, using sparring as a metaphor for personal growth and, at one point, making direct reference to the enslaved laborers that built the Egyptian pyramids. The track was produced by Cam O'bi and sounds right in step with the loose and colorful material that Surf such a refreshing treat. Chance and Gypsy go back-to-back-to-back, trading off short verses so frequently that their rhymes seem to unify into one cohesive work. The track can be downloaded for free on SoundCloud, but go ahead and listen to it below. Those craving even more Chance should check out his surprisingly excellent collaborative mixtape with Lil B, which just dropped last week; you'll find the MC's fall tour schedule after the jump.
