When Freddie Gray turned up dead in the back of a police van in Baltimore last May, Carmelo Anthony was amongst the first to stand with and march in his hometown as police violence and media mishandling threatened to escalate matters beyond their already volatile state.
Today, as we try to maintain some semblance of sanity in the wake of last night's ambush of Dallas PD, the murders of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile before that, the New York Knicks star has put out a call to his fellow athletes, most of which have remained deafeningly silent in the wake of these travesties.
