For the Okayplayer-realm, Carlos Niño may be readily-identifiable only to those who bore witness to the lush 40-piece orchestral salute to J Dilla that was Suite For Ma Dukes. Many of us (including this writer) still don't let a week go by without an emotional viewing of at least one clip from that heroic performance (which featured Bilal, Thundercat, Illa J, J Davey, Karriem Riggins, De La Soul and plenty more.)
But it appears Niño is far from done with his heart-string pulls.
