Buckshot & P-Money 'BackPack Travels' + Video f. T'Nah Apex

Buckshot x T'Nah Apex "Sweetest Thing" [Official Video] + New EP 'BackPack Travels' Out Today

Buckshot & P-Money - Sweetest Thing ft. T'Nah Apex

Buckshot officially passed his 20-year mark in the hip-hop game today with the release of his new album, BackPack Travels. After his 2012 collaborative album with 9th Wonder, The Solution, Buckshot sought out to team up with Auckland, New Zealand-based, platinum-selling producer P-Money. The product of this new alliance is the release of this new joint masterpiece on Dirty Records / Dawn Raid / Duck Down Music.

Buckshot makes it his duty as a hip-hop veteran to introduce new school artists furthering his legacy, featuring Joey Bada$$, CJ Fly of Pro Era, David Dallas, Raz Fresco, Steele of Smif N Wessun, Chelsea Reject and T’Nah Apex on this 10-track project.

Fans got their first look of what was to come of Buckshot’s newest project a couple of months ago when he released “Flute ft. Joey Bada$$ and CJ Fly of Pro Era“, showcasing this album’s unique old school, new school compilation. The anticipation from this release only heightened today when, along with the release of the full album, Buckshot published his newest video for the single “Sweetest Thing ft. T’Nah Apex.”

It seems his efforts in unifying all hip-hop fans, blurring the lines separating old school and new school, have been successful thus far. This project will definitely have people open, especially after hearing T’Nah Apex’s feature on “Sweetest Thing.” There is something reminiscent about T’Nah Apex — her flow, her demeanor, her aesthetic — and she is a refreshing addition to the genre that so many of us have begun to lose faith in. We love this new era of hip-hop that Buckshot is ushering in, and we can’t wait to hear more!
