J-Zone Remixes The Broken Bells ' 'After The Disco' LP Standout "Holding On For Life."
Broken Bells' After The Disco LP standout single "Holding On For Life" gets a fresh pair of legs with the debut of the "Holding On For Life" (J-Zone Remix). J-Zone plays up the rambling guitar melody and infuses the cinematic track with an other-worldly feel. Broken Bells part ways with the atmosphere at the 2:34 mark to ride out the production on a delicious break that bends itself into an echoing, buzzing, inter-galactic beast. J-Zone's changes are a fitting accompaniment to the post-mirror ball falsetto performance that drives the original recording. This alternate take on the track is the latest, following a few choice remixes including a version from Doc McKinney and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. The remix lands alongside Broken Bells' custom jukebox giveaway and a list of North American tour dates that will take the band to stages across the U.S. throughout the fall.
