Broken Bells drop a new clip for the poppy new single “After The Disco,” the title-track off their sophomore LP. This anthem of nightlife monotony gets treated with some very Groundhog’s Day– esque visual schemes, following frontman James Mercer and beat-making wingman Danger Mouse as they walk through a revolving door of evening follies. All the while, their synth-pop offering provides a sonic score to the madness. You get the feeling Bill Murray might pop out of the shadows at any given moment.
The visual follows masterful flips from Doc McKinney and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, as well as J-Zone of the other stand-out cut “Holding On For Life,” which was also fitted with a cosmic set of sights. The album dropped to much acclaim back in May and is available to purchase via iTunes today, so be sure to cop if you’ve yet to do so. You can also catch the duo on the last leg of their tour, the dates for which are posted under the clip. Watch the loopy visual for Broken Bells’ “After The Disco” down below.
