Black Thought has been doubling down as The Roots' leading man and something of a philanthropist for some time now. He's established the Philly-based GrassROOTS organization to fight for the betterment of women and girls' health, and more recently, he teamed up with eyewear powerhouse MOSCOT for an exclusive line of ocular opulence, the proceeds from which go directly to GrassROOTS and MOSCOT's Mobileyes Foundation.
This Thursday February 12th, Black Thought, the maestro Ray Angry and drum-machine mack Jeremy Ellis will be performing as a trio at MOSCOT's Orchard Street location on the Lower East Side in NYC for an intimate night of musical mania and charity; two things that obviously go hand-in-hand. The proceeds from this extremely exclusive event will be divvied up down the line between the aforementioned organizations. You can make sure you're there to bear witness with a $50 tax deductible donation or grabbing your very own pair of Riq's GRUNYA frames. Attendance will be limited to 100 fortunate folks, so be sure to make your donation if you plan on attending.
