BJ The Chicago Kid & Freddie Gibbs Link On The Sultry New Single "B.A.M"
Windy City wonder BJ The Chicago Kid teams up with Freddie Gibbs on the seductive new joint "B.A.M." This syrupy and sex-soaked single puts out a call to all of the dimes over a top-down, slow-churning rocker that provides ample space for BJTCK to unleash a torrent of heavenly vocal layers and Gangsta Gibbs some thug-love rhymes. It is but the latest in a prolific roll-out of numbers that range from this legitimate "Swimming Pools" contender (the first I've heard since) to the organic r&b stylings of "Soul Of A Woman" and his ambitious ballad "Good Karma," which have dropped in just as many weeks.
The track comes paired with the announcement that we'll finally see all of those gems make their way to a full-length piece, which will arrive in the form of The M.AF.E. Project new week on November 19th. If you need a little more push to get you hooked to what BJ's been cooking up over the past few months, peep his stellar performance from NPR's CMJ showcase a few weeks back.
