His reign over the year began in a very special appearance on one of the very last episodes of The Colbert Report, where he shared the stage with Kendrick Lamar, Anna Wise, Thundercat & Terrace Martin performing a powerful and freshly written piece for the late night audience. From there, he graced two back-to-back standouts on K Dot's To Pimp A Butterfly LP ("Institutionalized" & "These Walls") and then went on to launch us into the stratosphere with his new single "Satellites" off the recently announced and highly anticipated In Another Life LP, featuring production exclusively from the analog redeemer Adrian Younge.
