OKP Premiere: Watch Bilal & Adrian Younge Perform "I Really Don't Care" Live In Giles Peterson's Basement

Well before Bilal & Adrian Younge dosed us with their soulful psychedelia on In Another Life, the duo convened in the basement of master curator Giles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings basement to strip down some of their cuts in live and direct fashion. Perhaps you missed their first transmission of “Sirens II” all the way back in February. Well, dear friends today we have yet another minimal treatment to share with you from the Brownswood cellar, finding Younge manning the Rhodes as the visceral vocalist soars through a very cool take of the album cut “I Really Don’t Care,” backs to the mountains of vinyl and literature that serve as Peterson’s reference material with no wavy organ or accompanying beat. Just Bilal and the analog wizard rocking in tandem, giving the album’s most crystalline cut a somehow cleaner treatment. And it’s just a taste of what’s to come tomorrow evening as the duo takes the stage at London’s Under The Bridge to give the album some some fresh ears and eyes cross-pond. Watch as Bilal & Adrian Younge perform a gorgeous stripped-bare take of “I Really Don’t Care” below and grab your copy of In Another Life on iTunes today.
