Big K.R.I.T. drops “King Pt. 3” – a follow-up to 2012’s “King Pt. 2” and the 2010 “KING” freestyle. The track plays like a stream of consciousness on faith, lyricism and life plans over the beat to Nas‘ “Stay” from No I.D.. The trilogy of tracks are open letters on the rigors of life and the fire in K.R.I.T.’s belly that find him applying his slow drawl and sick flow to a poignant set of lyrics that paint a bigger picture. His approach continually suggests he remains acutely aware that his wisdom is worth its weight in gold, as he challenges the status quo and steps into a realm where his sense of self is not dependent upon fame or the opinions of those who might deny he spits fire.
