Video: Big Boi Speaks On Vicious Lies, Dangerous Rumors, Little Dragon & Outkast

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Big Boi dropped by Hot 97 in the morning to speak with Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg. Daddy Fat Sax had a lot to talk about concerning his upcoming LP Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, some of his musical influences, and finally, the eternal question - will Outkast ever get back together? Sir Luscious Leftfoot AKA Sylvester The Unskippable (?) even talks about his reaction to Andre 3000's verse on the upcoming T.I. track "Sorry"--wherein 3Stacks apologizes for the awkwardness between the two Outkast members. All the talk leads to the burning question of the year: "Do you think that we'll see Andre and Big Boi make an album again?" Watch below to see what Big Boi has to say about it.

The Dusty Philosopher also stopped by the Village Voice to talk specifically about his new album, why Andre 3000 isn't on it and the whole Little Dragon-Kelly Rowland "Mama Told Me" deal. Check some of his Big Boi's choice quotations after and jump and peep the full interview here.

So lets talk label bullshit. Last album Laface was fronting on clearing Andre 3000. Is that still the case?

No, that's all cleared up now. He could've been on any song he wanted to. I gave the motherfucker about 5 songs, but I guess he was just too busy. He said he had to do some Gillette shit [room erupts in laughter]. No for real. He said he had some contractual obligations.

OK. So what happened with Little Dragon's former label not clearing them for "Mama Said?"

Well they left their original label and signed to Universal so it was like bad blood between Universal and Peace Frog. So when it came time to negotiate clearance it didn't go so well. But they're still on the album and Kelly Rowland is just singing the lyrics Yukimi wrote.
