Bernie Sanders Ends Bitter Political Rivalry, Finally Endorses Hillary Clinton For President

There have been quite a few high-profile voices chanting the name "Hillary Clinton" over the last few months. Some more surprising than others. After all, we are currently up against a real-life demon in Donald Trump. But I don't think any of us could have imagined a day when Bernie Sanders, her former rival in the race to the democratic ballot, would pledge his support for another Clinton term. But it appears that day is today, as CNN reports that during a joint rally in Portsmouth, New Hampshire this morning, Sanders finally raised the white flag to endorse Clinton as the Democratic candidate for the 2016 presidential election.

The endorsement comes after weeks of planning and fearful anticipation that Sanders might just go and run as a third-party candidate instead of joining forces with the presidential hopeful. The verdict's still out on whether this means Killer Mike is also riding for Team Hillary, now that his candidate of preference has thrown in the towel. But Mike's a reasonable guy, and we don't imagine it would take much to convince him that he's not voting for Clinton as much as he's voting against Trump. And honestly, we'll need all the help we can to defeat a man that thrives off the hate and fear that's laid not so dormant under Barack Obama's two terms. Here's hoping we're all on the same page, even if that means we're voting for Hillary Clinton.
