Perhaps some of you know what SXSW has to offer as a mere spectator, but it should go without saying that the life of a performer at the rumble in Austin might just be that much more chaotic. On the very last night of our Midwestern takeover at the OKAYHOUSE, we caught up with the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote leading lady Nai Palm, the deceptively soulful BADBADNOTGOOD, Afro-Cuban wonder twins Ibeyi, THEESatisfaction, Greighwolfe and Your Old Droog to discuss the many sights, sounds and smells of SXSW on a very special episode of The Questions.

And though we probably got a better sense for the aroma than anyone would care for (think sweat, beer, BBQ and green, but not in a pleasant way) our chats keened us to how much love and ego-less respect for the art of music was in the air ...and how deep the mutual admiration ran. We also got a look at what seemed like an endless array of headgear, the myriad of random (good and bad) band names that you could come across -- with some folks opting not to fire shots in any particular direction -- and which acts everyone was most excited to see, if they happen to have a moment away from the stage.

It's the perfect portrait of the many highs and exaggerated lows of being one of the chosen few to rock the musical mania of SXSW, all of which should make for a tasty and wholly enjoyable outing, if you dare to make the trip. Below you will find both our SXSW edition of The Questions and a little extended recap of the night, brought to you exclusively by Okayplayer. Sit back, click play and enjoy. We'll see you next year, Austin.
