New Blu times two! Plus some voulez-vous...via French producer Dela. Actually Dela's track "WhatUWanna" is remixed here by sophisticated Brooklynite DJ Spinna, whose name (inconveniently) does not end in 'ooh.' Spinna should not be confused with sophisticated "brooklyknight" Sene, who also featured Blu on his new joint, "Backboards."
The Spinna cut (below) is a big, vibey hip-hop beat that reminds me of ATCQ's "Midnight," at least in spirit. It's being released to tease the May 15th drop of Dela's newly-remastered Translation Lost album, and will be available itself in a limtied 500-copy pressing of colored 7" vinyl (blue, I'm guessing).
"Backboards" on the other hand (belower) is a sawing-violin slow march with a eerie falsetto hook on the chorus and is a teaser for Sene's LP brooklyknight, which drops via Plug Research on April 24th. We could go into the rapping but under the circumstances it might be less confusing to just say everybody involved comes off pretty tough. Get in where you fit.
