Two-time Grammy kid Ryan Shaw (he was nominated twice for Best Traditional R&B Performance, Male --not bad for a dude who was discovered on Amateur Night at The Apollo!) is coming back out with his new LP Real Love (due out May 15th, tracklisting after the jump) featuring some studio legends like Al Kooper and Jim Bralower on the back-up. Mr. Shaw is what is generally referred as a "soul man"--except that what often passes for "soul" these days does not do his art justice. When we say "Traditional R&B, Male" read: "put Sam Cooke and Cee-Lo Green in a blender with some green onions and turn it up to 11." But don't take my hyperbole for it, just listen to the song "Karina"--which OKP is very proud to bring you in its World Premiere!--and stay tuned for more.
