Sinead O'Connor Claims Arsenio Hall Supplied Prince w/ Drugs, Hall Fires Back w/ Lawsuit

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction, folks. In the wake of Prince's death, all sorts of conspiracy theories and guesstimations as to what could have possibly claimed the life of The Purple One have disseminated, likely due to the absence of a full toxicology report (which should be arriving any day now.) But by far, the single most bat-shit crazy theory to have hit the web, has to be the one spewed out by Sinead O'Connorvia Facebook a few days back, where the Irish star accused Prince's longtime friend, Arsenio Hall, of providing him with the deadly cocktail that did him in, not just on the day of his death, but for years on end, as well as claiming that Arsenio had drugged her once at Eddie Murphy's house.

Arsenio, clearly, was not playing that shit. According to Variety, the comedian has filed a $5 million defamation suit, claiming the accusations to be extraordinarily damaging to his reputation. To be fair, there's still no way to confirm or outright deny any claims by any party, but this is certainly shaping up to be a mess of a suit, nonetheless. It should be noted that it is beginning to look like substance abuse may have played a role in the death of the icon, but without the full report, nothing is certain. And as far as this writer's concerned, no amount of back-and-forth between washed-up '90s stars will bring Prince back. I say we just let the man rest and celebrate an uncommonly illustrious legacy.
