Arsenio Assembles A Power Band For New Show

Arsenio Hall has assembled a power band led by drummer Robin DiMaggio to back him up onstage for the revival of his late-night talk show The Arsenio Hall Show, hitting the airwaves this fall. Aside from DiMaggio - who lists Paul Simon, David Bowie and Diana Ross among his credits - the band includes the amazing talents of guitarist Rob "Fonksta" Bacon, bassist Alex Al, keyboardist-singers Victoria Theodore and Sean Holt, who will also be holding down the sax. Speaking freely about the band during an interview with Billboard, Arsenio had this to say:

“If (an artist is asking) can I use your band, he has to have seen your show and know your band is fire. I’m narcissistic if I brag about me or the show, but I know this band is great. I am so glad these guys agreed to come off the road and do this.”

In keeping with traditions that became pillars of his show during the 90s, the newly formed house band will continue to play as The Posse. Rumor has it The Dog Pound could also be making a return. The Arsenio Hall Show will air on CBS this fall from 10 to 11 PM, beginning September 9th.
