Andre 3000 Speaks On His Aversion To Social Media, The Jumpsuit Schemes + More At Art Basel In Miami

Last week's Art Basel brought some of the entertainment industry's most eccentric minds together to whet their pallets in contemporary art's most extravagant convention. Andre 3000 happened to be one of those madcap men and women of show business, but not for the explicit purpose of dipping his hand into whatever the expo's vast array or artistry had to offer. Rather, 3K spent his first appearance at Miami's hallmark artsy fartsy affair discussing his own contributions, none other than the i feel ya exhibit, which brought all 46 of his text-printed jumpsuits under one roof for the public to drop their jaws at.

Aside from his inaugural exhibit, Dre also discussed the method to his madness in the conception of the suits, as well as why he chose to bring them all to Miami and how he's remained totally disenchanted by social media, specifically for artists of his status, whose every step and whisper is already being monitored ritually by an adoring public. The discussion was curated by SCAD president Paula Wallace, who lent her hand in the facilitation of i feel ya and even spoke to the effect of touring the exhibit around Africa. You can watch Andre 3000 chop it up with Paula Wallace below, just be sure to keep your eyes peeled. We'll be updating you on where the exhibit pops up next.
