Amerigo Gazaway Delivers Another Brilliantly Funky Mash-Up Of BB King & UGK
Do the days get any sweeter than when we're graced with some new mashed-up marvels from the one and only Amerigo Gazaway? Weeks ago, Gazaway revealed his new sonic sojourn would be realized as a potent musical meld of late blues legend BB King's timeless catalogue and the Ged-out new-age funk of UGK. The announcement came to us with the mid-tempo burner "The Trill Is Gone" (the album's title track,) which paired BB's breakout classic with UGK's "One Day" for a deliciously dope union of hip-hop's roots and fruits. Today, Gazaway has blessed the internets with yet another brilliant blend of these iconic artists in the very funky "Make Love To My Car," turning the BPMs up on BB's classic cover of the Muddy Waters and Willie Dixon standard "I Just Wanna Make Love to You" and fitting it with the unbridled swagger of the Underground Kingz.
