Allen Stone delivered an acoustic folk rendition of Seal's "Kiss From A Rose" for Grammy's ReImagined performance series in June. The series encourages current artists to reimagine the works of past Grammy winners. The rising soul singer also played two original compositions - "Satisfaction" and "Contact High" - for the intimate gathering at Andaz in West Hollywood. Allen Stone talked about the impact that the song which won Seal three Grammy Awards in 1995 - Song Of The Year included - has had on him as an artist during an interview with Grammy.com:

"I [first] heard 'Kiss From A Rose' when I was in seventh grade at a school dance," said Stone. "I remember it [being] that one time where I totally scored the cute girl to come and dance with me. I remember the chorus hitting and just feeling like ecstasy you know how songs can do that to you. There's kind of a soft spot in my heart for that song."
