Adrian Younge Declares "Winter Is Here" w/ A Cold New Groove
The road to Adrian Younge's Something About April sequel has been a fruitful one. The LA-based producer's producer first graced us with the premiere of the album's lead-off single "Sittin' By The Radio," then RZA gave "Hands Of God" his own personal touch. And today, Younge has relinquished the a clip for the album's latest single "Winter Is Here," timed perfectly with the arrival of actual cold weather.
It's another clinic of the man's hallmark grizzled soul palette, leaning heavy on the nostalgic feels with effected guitar strums, relentless bass fills and a hook that is full-float and reverie-inducing, lead by the haunting howls frequent collaborators Karolina and Loren Oden, declaring wholly and undoubtedly that "Winter Is Here" with an ice cold groove.
