Action Bronson & Mario Batali Set Out To Create A Meal Inspired By 'Mr. Wonderful'

Action Bronson's run as the rap-game Bourdain may have come to a very temporary end at the conclusion of his hit web series' first season last month, but the foodie exploits are far from over for the burley bomber. A recent trip to Mario Batali's in-house grocery and restaurant Eataly brought Bronson and his culinary hero together to add a new flavor to his major label debut Mr. Wonderful, which could certainly use a pairing, given the heavy influence food has had on the record and Action's personality, particularly in the lyrical sense. I mean, is there anyone in the world of hip-hop or abroad that can so eloquently discuss the intricacies of truffle butter? No sir, there is not.

Once the dietary and musical tasting are out of the way, the Action/Batali team conjure up a way to encapsulate Mr. Wonderful in one serving; a freshly made pizza pie, naturally. And even though Bronson's dough-stretching chops aren't exactly up to snuff, the meal provides perfect fodder for these two kindred spirits to share their personal philosophies on creating, no matter the medium. You can watch Action Bronson *& Mario Batali chop it up below, just be sure to grab yourself a copy of the exceptionally dope Mr. Wonderful LP on iTunes today.
