Ab-Soul's Album Is Still Delayed Because Mixes Aren't Finished, Top Dawg Says

TDE Representative Ab-Soul Disses Jay Electronica With A Fiery Freestyle At Pro Era's STEEZ Day 2016 Show.

The saga of Ab-Soul's follow up album to 2014's critically panned These Days has extended. In a post made to Twitter Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, the head of the record label TDE, blamed the delay of Soulo's album on Soulo.

Ab-Soul's upcoming album is tentatively titled DWTW.

The back and forth, unfortunately continues. A few months back Tiffith announced that the album was done or that he at least received the final mixes. Then further confirmation. A glimmer of hope. Ab-Soul released the track "Huey Knew” featuring Da$h with production from Willie B. Scroll down to watch the video. Then some back tracking, the glimmer of hope snatched away. Tiffith commented that not only was Ab-Soul's album not ready but also that SZA's new project still needed work. Then another new track from Soulo. More hope. “Braille” featuring Dreamville‘s Bas was released. If you haven't already heard it, peep the track here.

And now Tiffith has again taken to Twitter to notify fans that the album is being held up by Ab-Soul and Mixed By Ali due to unfinished the mixes. With a quickly deteriorating political situation here in the United States, an album, particularly a politically charged one (I'm thinking tracks like "Terrorist Threats") are very, very much needed. Fingers crossed that it's coming soon, some new SZA would also be fantastic. Peep the tweets below.
