Ab-Soul Says J. Cole & Kendrick Lamar Collab Album Is A Real Thing On 'Breakfast Club'
Fresh off the heels of his new album Do What Thou Wilt, Ab-Soul stopped by The Breakfast Club and confirmed that the rumors about the highly anticipated Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole project is actually a real thing. Soul even said that he contributed to a track. He remarked, “They got it. They got something in the works. They’ve been working on that motherfucker for a while.” He also remarked, “I’m saying these guys move like the mob. You never know with these guys. I just hope they use my verse. They just need to use my verse.” Soul also stopped by Sway in the Morning to freestyle, talk about Jay Electronica and more. Watch both interviews below. J. Cole also just released his album 4 Your Eyez Only. The ten track project is Cole’s fourth studio album and features, you guessed it: nobody. Well, sorta. He had a lot of help on the production side of things. Head here to read the full production credits on 4 Your Eyez Only. Do What Thou Wilt is also Ab-Soul’s fourth studio album and the follow-up to 2014’s These Days. Do What Thou Wilt, which has sixteen tracks, boasts features from Thundercat, Mac Miller, Teedra Moses, North Carolina MC Rapsody, and others. Fellow Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) label mates Punch, SZA and Sounwave are also on the project. Listen to J.Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only via iTunes and Ab-Soul’s Do What Thou Wilt via Apple Music and stay tuned for that Cole and Kendrick collab. Fingers tightly crossed.
