Pass The Popcorn: Aaron McGruder + Uncle Ruckus Discuss Movie With Snoop Lion + Nas Anecdotes With Big Sean

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder and the real live Uncle Ruckus stopped by GGN News Network to talk with Snoop Lion about their upcoming film The Uncle Ruckus Movie - a live action flick spun from the popular animated series. Gary Anthony Williams - the voice of the cartoon Ruckus will crossover to play the role in McGruder's live action film. The Boondocks debuted in November 2005 to critical acclaim as a controversial primetime cult classic. Originally slated to air on FOX, the show switched gears and went on to help anchor Adult Swim. As fans wait with baited breath for the long-rumored fourth season of the show to air they may find comfort in the fact that they will soon have a feature-length dose of Uncle Ruckus' unbridled hatred to keep them warm at night.

Snoop kept the good times rolling at the GGN News Network with a visit from Detroit MC Big Sean. The two compared notes on rap then and now - a conversation that found Snoop discussing the segregation and tensions between rappers - especially those from differing coasts - during the early 90s. He cites his first chance encounter with legendary Queens MC Nas in the streets of Los Angeles as an interesting bit of hip-hop history. Check it out.
