A3C and Okayplayer join forces to present The 2nd Annual Best Block Party Ever on Sunday, October 12th in Atlanta for the 10th anniversary of the A3C Festival. This year's fest includes appearances from Slaughterhouse, Scarface, Bun B, Casey Veggies, Smif N Wessun, Kevin Gates, Mannie Fresh, 9th Wonder & Rapsody, Organized Noize, B.o.B. and more. The block party will be headlined by Black Thought and J. Period, Talib Kweli & friends, Prince Paul, Skyzoo & Torae, Erk Tha Jerk, Dillon, Baked Life, Tayyib Ali, Riders Against The Storm and the Bodega Brovas. The party, much like last year's inaugural event, promises to pack a host of special guests and other surprises. A3C's Mike Walbert breaks down the evolution of the block party and its importance to the A3C Festival.
"We launched the Best Block Party Ever with Okayplayer in 2013, because it was a 'dream show' we had talked about for a year, featuring some of our favorite DJs of all time. This year we have once again partnered with Okayplayer to help curate a dream line-up featuring hip-hop legends and rising stars. The block party is ALSO our way of giving back to the city and honoring the history of the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood.
