Watch Zaytoven Take On Future's 'Beast Mode' With A Live Band For 'Tiny Desk' Performance

The godfather of Atlanta's trap sound took on two songs from Beast Mode, as well as his very own Trapholizay.

NPR has released its latest Tiny Desk performance featuring producer Zaytoven.

The almost 12-minute long set finds Zaytoven leading a live band through two tracks from Future's Beast Mode — "Lay Up" and "Peacoat" — as well as "Mo Reala," which is from his very own album Trapholizay. The group includes Neil Garrard (guitar); Elena Pinderhughes (flute); DJ Spinz (DJ); and Bernard "TreWay" Lambert (drums).

Turns that Zaytoven's performance came about after Future didn't show up to NPR for his own Tiny Desk performance. The producer and his band were going to accompany the Atlanta rapper through his set (which would've included "Mask Off") but he never showed.
