Yebba Puts Her Range on Full Display in a Stunning 'Tiny Desk' Performance

Watch Yebba preview her upcoming debut album in a soothing and symphonic live set for NPR Music's latest Tiny Desk Concert.

Yebba is the latest guest to grace NPR Music's deconstructed Tiny Desk setup.

Recorded at New York's legendary Electric Lady Studios, the singer was joined by a full band, backup singers, and a small string section to put her range on full display performing four selections from her upcoming debut album, Dawn. The set commences with a soaring rendition of "Stand," a symphonically tinged ballad previewed for the first time in this performance. The follow-up is a soothing performance of the sultry gospel-infused slow-burner, "Distance," which led the charge for the singer's album campaign. From there, the strings return as the group slips into Yebba's latest single, "All I Ever Wanted," before closing out the stunningly intimate performance with a gorgeous take on "How Many Years."

The performance arrives just ahead of the singer's formal introduction on Dawn, which is out this Friday, September 10th. The Mark Ronson-produced debut features appearances and contributions from Questlove, Q-Tip, Smino, and more. Dawn will build out on the singer's years-long streak of collaborations and assists on high-profile albums from A Tribe Called Quest, Robert Glasper, Sam Smith, Chance The Rapper, Ed Sheeran, and more.

Watch Yebba perform for NPR's Tiny Desk Concert below. Hold tight for the arrival of Dawn this Friday and pre-order your copy of the album ahead of its release.
