The years have been long since the release of Wu-Tang Clan's A Better Tomorrow. And Martin Shkreli's acquisition of their one-of-one Once Upon a Time in Shaolindidn't exactly hold anyone over (though that may soon be amended with the ex-Pharma CEO's recent fraud charges finally threatening to put the smug-faced corporate tyrant behind bars for up to -- but likely nowhere close to -- 20 years.)
That said, resentment of their involvement with Shkreli, the hope of something more compelling than the lack-luster seventh studio album and the general absence of anything supplemental, have plagued the communal subconscious of Wu stans far and wide. Today, they're striking back with a preview of their new single "People Say," which lists Mathematics as the producer and RZA as an "executive producer, " featuring an A1 performance from honorary Wu member, Redman (a time-tested pairing of rugged and raw east coast legends.)
