Aretha Franklin is getting the sendoff she deserves
The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin is being laid to rest today, August 31st, in a private memorial setting in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan.
The “Celebration of Life” memorial service will be taking place at the Greater Grace Temple in Detroit. The memorial service started at 9:30 AM EST and will go on until 3:00 pm. (Even though it does seem like the memorial service is already behind schedule.)
