Last week, SZA announced that she was taking a leave of absence from the TDE Championship Tour. In her announcement, she said she was taking the break to prevent permanent damage to her vocal chords, which were swollen.
On Tuesday she made her return to the big stage. She appeared at TDE's tour stop at Madison Square Garden, in New York City.

However, after the performance, the singer tweeted-then-deleted a series of concerning tweets. In one of her tweets, SZA said her voice is permanently injured. She also said "Tonight was the test . That settles that.”
