Smif-N-Wessun performed something old and something new

Smif-N-Wessun, one of the greatest hip-hop duos of all time, are the latest rappers to appear on NPR's Tiny Desk series.

Tek and Steele performed two of their most iconic songs: "Bucktown," their breakout single, and "Stand Strong." Both songs appeared on their 1995 masterpiece Dah Shinin'. What makes this performance unique, of course, is that you're hearing these gritty songs get new life, thanks to the D.C.-based Black Alley band.

The Brooklyn duo also premiered their new single "One Time." The song, produced by 9th Wonder and & The Soul Council, will be the first single from their upcoming album, The All.
