Saba & No I.D. Are “Back In Office” on New Single

Rapper Saba and legendary producer No I.D. have a Chicago reunion on new single “Back In Office.”

Saba is beginning to unveil music from a possible collaborative project with producer and fellow Chicago native No I.D. The rapper has released new single “Back In Office,” over one of the 120 beats that No I.D. sent him. In an interview with Apple Music 1’s Ebro Darden last spring, the 28-year-old shared that the two plan to have at least 10 songs finished for a potential release.

“He was like, ‘You hear that little beat in the background, that’s just number 80 this week, don’t mind me,’” Saba said. “So when I got up with him, he told me he did 120 in a two-week span. He was like, ‘I got 120, how many of them you want me to send you?’ I was just like, ‘Bro, I’m about to go on tour, send me all 120. I didn’t expect him to actually do it, but he did it.”

Last February, Saba, legal name Tahj Malik Chandler, released his third full-length LP A Few Good Things, which featured G Herbo (“Survivor’s Guilt”), Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony (“Come My Way”), 6lack and Smino (“Still”), Mereba (“A Simpler Time”), Fousheé (“Make Believe”) and more. To support A Few Good Things, Chandler also embarked on his 2022 Back Home Tour globally, with Amindi and Dreamville’s Lute opening for him in North America. Next, the rapper is set to perform at Coachella Music and Arts Festival beginning this weekend in Indio, California, headlined by Frank Ocean, BLACKPINK, and Bad Bunny.
