Run The Jewels season is upon us.

Last month, Run The Jewels posted a picture with legendary producer Rick Rubin. Under the photo they wrote “Thanks for letting us spend the week recording in your studio, Rick. Be back soon…”

In the latest RTJ Newsletter, EL-P and Killer Mike revealed that they pulled up to Rick Rubin’s Los Angeles studio to “keep shit moving.”

They also wrote:

We’ve been going hard on RTJ4 and have a genuine excitement to share new music with you all…We stand behind our statement that this record is going to punch you in the fucking face and burn everything in its path. We thank you for your continued patience as we put together what we believe will be our best record yet.

EL-P says it’s their “best record yet” but in March his wife, comedian Emily Panic, tweeted it was going to sound like Lil Wayne’s rock album,  Rebirth.
