El-P Announces that ‘Run The Jewels 4’ is Dropping in 2019

“Run The Jewels 4” is still a work in progress
Last year, Killer Mike and El-P teased fans by announcing that they had plans for their next album Run The Jewels 4. They released their album Run The Jewels 3 in 2016. Since then both have become preoccupied with other projects.

Fans have been awaiting new music for the past couple of years, but they might have to wait a little longer. El-P recently wiped his Instagram clean. Many thought this meant he was getting ready to rollout Run the Jewels 4.
On Tuesday, December 11th he took to Twitter to announce that Run The Jewels 4 is still a work in progress and that it would not be dropping anytime soon:
no sorry we don’t release our albums on instagram. i’m deleting them just for the fuck of it and starting again because why the fuck do i need thousand of pictures of my life available to the public, you know? https://t.co/M5WTDX5c3y

i know a lot of you are hoping we drop rtj4 this year so it’s only right i let you know clearly: we are not. we just got off tour like 5 months ago. i scored a film and got married. we started and are working on it but it’s not even close to done. i tell you because i love you.

The rapper/producer put a post on Instagram writing that they’re currently in the studio working on the record with hopes to release it in 2019. He also assured fans that this is not a delay and that they are excited to work on new music.
