With Robert Glasper as Artist-in-Residence, the Blue Note Jazz Festival Napa Valley will feature De La Soul, Lalah Hathaway and more.

Robert Glasper returns for another Blue Note Jazz Festival Napa Valley, and this time he’s bringing some friends. On Tuesday (April 4), the star-studded lineup for the festival was announced, with Glasper as artist-in-residence featuring De La Soul, Lalah Hathaway and Bilal. While the four will bring R&B and hip-hop grooves to the West Coast iteration of the festival, also joining are Dave Chappelle as host, with Mary J. Blige, Chance the Rapper and Nas headlining.

Taking place from July 28-30 at Napa’s Silverado Resort & Spa, the festival will welcome NxWorries (Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge), Ari Lennox, Cordae and Gary Clark Jr. The bill is rounded out by George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic, Rakim and DJ Jazzy Jeff, Talib Kweli and Madlib, Terrace Martin, Yussef Dayes, Cory Henry, DOMi and JD BECK, Digable Planets, and Taylor McFerrin and Marcus Gilmore with special guest Bobby McFerrin.

The three nights will conclude with afterparties hosted by Big Freedia and 9th Wonder, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Anderon .Paak under his alter-ego DJ Pee Wee. Chappelle, who hosted last year’s festivities nearly vowed to “never return” to Napa Valley during a rant about the event’s strict 10 PM curfew.

“I’ll never drink a cup of wine from this dusty ass field,” Chappelle said on the final night of the festival last July. “I’ll drink Italian wines and French wines and South African wines. You cannot shut down Robert Glasper, ever. Let that be known.”

Tickets for the festival go on sale April 7 at 9 AM PT.
