Earlier this year, JBL released a special Quincy Jones-endorsed pair of over-the-ear headphones called JBL E55BT Quincy Edition. To celebrate that release, Jones is doing a series of interviews with a number of up-and-coming talents in the music, art, and fashion world.
The first one is with Maségo. The two talked at Quincy Jones’ house in L.A.

During their conversation, Maségo asked Quincy about who his favorite living legends were. Here is how he answered:
“Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper and Esperanza Spalding. You know, she don’t play. But there’s a bunch of beautiful people: Ludacris, Common, Drake. ”
Maségo also asked Quincy about what message he had for legends in the making:
“If you know where you’re coming from, it’s easy to get where you’re going. “
This message is similar to one that Quincy stressed to us during our interview with the God a month ago.
