PJ never disappoints

PJ Morton is the latest artists to appear on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert, a weekly series that has become appointment viewing.

The singer wasn't alone. He brought a 10-piece string section with him. Together, the group performed three songs: "Claustrophobic," "Go Thru Your Phone," and "First Began," three standout tracks from his breakthrough album Gumbo.

The performance had a lot of similarities to the performance Morton did at Power Station Studios in New York City earlier in the year. PJ ended up turning that performance into a live album, called Gumbo: Unplugged.
