Ahead of his upcoming collaboration with Chanel, Pharrell joined host Tyler Brûlé on a recent episode of the iconic fashion house's 3.55 podcast.

Discussing his history with the brand  -- at one point, admitting he'd hoped to will a Chanel connection into existence by sketching the double-C logo onto old sneakers --  the producer revealed how a line from the late Notorious B.I.G.'s "One More Chance" first introduced him to the C on both sides. He goes on to express his gratitude for the opportunity to work on a capsule collection with the luxury house, referring to the family of designers as a "guild of artisans." His aptly-titled Chanel Pharrell collection, teased in a recent Harper's Bazaar Korea feature, hits digital and physical shelves on April 4th.
