As the curtains close on Parliament's half-century of globe and galaxy hopping, a new reissue campaign is promising to keep them in your personal orbit.
In a press release, Urban Legends/UMe announced reissues of two seminal selections from the catalog of the George Clinton-founded-and-fronted squad. The group's 1974 Casablanca debut, Up For The Down Stroke, and its 1975 ode to DC, Chocolate City, have been treated to standard black 180g pressings.
However, limited edition packages fit the former with translucent red vinyl, the latter with a picture disc of its iconic melting chocolate portrait of the Capitol Building, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial. It follows the recent reissues of Mothership Connection and The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein, each of which featured a flashy lenticular 3D cover.
