According to a report from The New York Times, NYC's ARChive of Contemporary Music is losing its space in TriBeCa after more than 30 years of occupancy. Founded in 1985 with archive director Bob George's 47,000 piece record collection, ARC has strived to preserve and, more recently, digitize its vast catalog of sound recordings. Unfortunately, the neighborhood's soaring rent prices forced George to relocate, hoping to find a space that can accommodate the colossal trove of artifacts by the end of May.
