NxWorries to Headline London Music Festival Cross The Tracks

NxWorries, Kelis, Masego, Ravyn Lenae, Roy Ayers, Liv.e and more are set to perform at Cross the Tracks on May 28.

Looks like an album from NxWorries is coming sooner than we expected. London jazz, funk and soul music festival Cross the Tracks has announced that the Stones Throw Records duo consisting of Anderson .Paak and Knwxledge will headline the event, scheduled for May 28. Held at Brockwell Park in Herne Hill, Brixton, also slated to perform are Masego, Ezra Collective, Kelis, Alfa Mist, Ravyn Lenae, Roy Ayers on his farewell tour and more.

Billed as offering the ‘best Jazz, Funk, and Soul music in town’, Cross the Tracks will also host 40 street food vendors, craft beer brewers, a vintage fair, wellness tent and independent creative market.

"In the past half decade, along with the west coast of the states, London has become the epicentre of contemporary jazz. The London scene is blending so many genres that’s asking ‘Which genre is that?’ it's almost missing the point," reads a description for the music acts." It's a melting pot of music. It is not mathematically analysing something to the point of splitting hairs, but breaking the limitations genre tends to bring. Defined boxes can be dangerous, especially in music.

After joining Bruno Mars as soulful duo Silk Sonic in 2021, .Paak reunited with longtime producer Knxwledge as duo NxWorries last year, releasing single “Where I Go” with H.E.R. in October. Next, .Paak will make his directorial debut with musicial film K-POPS!, where he’ll co-star along with his eldest son, Soul Rasheed.
