The Philadelphia rapper is working on an untitled documentary series with Amazon Prime Video that "will follow his fight for exoneration while exposing flaws in the criminal justice system," according to a report from Variety. Jay-Z will serve as one of the executive producers for the six-part series, and his very own Roc Nation will produce it alongside The Intellectual Property Corporation. The series is expected to premiere in 2019 exclusively on Prime Video.

Meek was released from prison a week ago and made his first public appearance at the Philadelphia Sixers vs. Miami Heat playoff game at Wells Fargo Center. Following his release the artist took to Twitter to issue the following statement:

"I'd like to thank God, my family, and all my public advocates for their love, support and encouragement during this difficult time. While the past five months have been a nightmare, the prayers, visits, calls, letters and rallies have helped me stay positive.

"To the Philly District Attorney's office, I'm grateful for your commitment to justice. I understand that many people of color across the country don’t have that luxury and I plan to use my platform to shine a light on those issues."

"In the meantime, I plan to work closely with my legal team to overturn this unwarranted conviction and look forward to reuniting with my family and resuming my music career."
